In contrast, the average supersonic 7.62 NATO when using an appropriate barrel length that can exploit its slower-burning powder has more than twice the energy of a supersonic 300 blk. 300 blk, in contrast, uses pistol powder, but that also means it's incapable of very high supersonic even if you have a hotter load, smaller bullet (than its subs, I mean), and longer barrel. Down too short, not only are you getting a weak velocity, but lots of flash and unburnt powder.
